One of my students at Del Tech wrote these words (and photograph) about photography for a paper. Very strong, and well worded.
"Photography is more than just snapping pictures for the sake of snapping pictures. Photography is a way to capture things that are important to us, our loved ones, our society, and even the world itself. It is a medium that is used to bring many issues to the surface, as well as crush many rumors, lies, and conspiracies. Most of all photography is an art form that many fail to realize the full potential of. Many photographers go through their careers simply shooting a picture and touching it up here and there. But photography can be so much more in the hands of those with a little creativity."
